For the past year and a half, I’ve been working on a film about historic camping and teardrop trailers. At last, I can say it is done (see the preview here:http://www.overlandtrailer.com/the-film/)
As an educator, I wanted a resource to use in my history classroom that shows the effect of mass produced transportation, national park camping desitnations, and the effects of WWII on the RV & teardrop industry.
I’ve found that this 55 min film has a broader appeal than its intended audience (high school students).
This is a not-for-profit project. The proceeds from this project go to:
- paying off the overhead for making the film
- sending free copies to high schools
- to start a fund for like-minded educators to make similar outdoor-themed film projects.
If you’d like a physical copy, you can get one here: http://www.storenvy.com/stores/14080-overland-trailer
If you’d rather download the film, it will be available on Amazon.com in a few weeks.
